Someone About To Get Sent

In my thirtieth year, fourth month, fifth day

While I was among the exiles and strays

I saw a windstorm coming, coming from the north

And a complicated cloud, electrical and loud

In the heat and the hissing, not a chance of missing

Four living creatures, human in form

Each with four faces, each with four wings

Wherever the Spirit would go, they would go

Without turning as they went

Someone about to get sent, someone about to get sent

Wherever the Spirit would go, they would go

Without turning as they went

Someone about to get sent, someone about to get sent

What's the shape that I'll take, a swan or a snake?

The poet, she tells me to seize joy and savor

Time to stop tap dancing on the edge of a razor

She wanna know what's it gonna take for this man to rest?

I been tested, tried, sent and went

So how's about lettin' the joy begin?

I've been remembering

Each had four faces, each had four wings

Wherever the Spirit would go, they would go

Without turning as they went

Someone about to get sent, someone about to get sent

Wherever the Spirit would go, they would go

Without turning as they went

Someone about to get sent, someone about to get sent

Wherever the Spirit goes, someone about to get sent
